Your comments will help the Re-Opening Task Group as they discern steps towards re-opening the church for worship.

We're trying to get a sense of how our church members are feeling about reopening. Please know that all answers are understandable, and whenever we re-open, we will have some kind of hybrid worship model, including live streaming online, for those who may not be comfortable with in-person worship. Your feedback helps us to understand how much of a priority in-person worship is for our congregation - especially given the restrictions that will be in place.

We will be introducing the following safety measures and these will be put in place as part of the reopening.

Everyone will have to be masked
Screening questions upon entry
Thorough cleaning after each worship service
We will likely limit numbers with a reservation system.
No singing or corporate prayers in worship
No shaking hands, refreshment hour, or lingering either before or after the service
Sunday School for older children and youth only (young children still welcome to sit with parents in pew)

1. How “warm” are you feeling to the idea of returning to in-person worship in the sanctuary with the above safety measures in place?

I would come to in-person worship as soon as possible with no hesitation.

I have some concerns, but would be content with the above safety measures.

I don’t think I will be comfortable returning for some time, but am waiting to see how things unfold.

No matter what protocols are in place, I won’t be comfortable returning to worship in the sanctuary until there is a vaccine and the pandemic is over.

2. Assuming proper procedures are in place such as distancing, wearing masks, cleaning, etc., how would you feel about attending small group meetings/gatherings at the church (10 people or less for meetings, book studies, anti-racism work, etc.)?

I would feel comfortable with attending small group gatherings.

I’m not sure yet.

I would not be comfortable with small group gatherings until there is a vaccine.
